Economic Substance Regulations Explained. Way ahead, Impact, Solutions

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The UAE has enacted Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) that applies in all UAE jurisdictions, including financial free zones such as the DIFC. All DIFC entities are now required to submit the Economic Substance Notification by June 12, 2020 regardless of whether it conducts a Relevant Activity or not.

The DIFC Insurance Association (DIFCIA) is hosting a webinar in collaboration with Fichte & Co. , Associate Member in the Association, for the DIFCIA members.

The webinar aims to explain in detail the ESR requirements for the stakeholders, how the companies should approach ESR, how large is the impact of ESR in the market, and finally to provide an overview on the way ahead with ESR. The event looks into the initial notification periods, but also into the further steps that need to be implemented by reporting companies. The webinar will also explain this new compliance requirement, including the purposes and results of such notifications being submitted.
