FICHTE & CO. LEGAL CONSULTANCY LLC (the “Fichte & Co”, “Company”, “Us” or “We”) is a limited liability legal consultancy firm in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its activity, policies and regulatory compliance requirements are subject to the Laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the Federal Laws of the United Arab Emirates (herein referred to as the “Applicable Law”).

This Policy is issued in order to enable our Website users and subscribers on how we collect, analyse and manage the data we collect. By visiting, using or subscribing to our Website, you consent to this Policy and its underlying processes.

We recognise the fair and lawful treatment of your data and we are committed to comply with these principles throughout our activity.

This Policy describes Fichte & Co’s privacy practices in relation to information that we collect through websites operated by us and from which you are accessing this Policy (collectively, the “Domains”), through the software applications made available by us for use on or through computers and mobile devices that link to this Policy (the “Apps”), through our social media pages and apps located at

(collectively, the “Social Media Pages”), and other services provided by us both online and offline; as well as through HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Policy (collectively, including the Domains, the Apps and the Social Media Pages, the “Sites”). “You” or a “user” refers to any individual who visits or otherwise uses the Sites. By using the Sites, you are accepting and agreeing to the practices outlined in this Policy.
This Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Fichte & Co does not own or control, or to individuals that Fichte & Co does not employ or manage. For example, our Social Media Pages are administered through online platforms which are third parties to Fichte & Co and the user; such platforms are not in our control and develop their own privacy policies and statements.

What Type of Information Does Fichte & Co Collect About its Users?

  • Personal Information. “Personal Information” is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual, including: name, title, company name, job function, expertise, postal address, telephone number, or email address. If you submit any Personal Information relating to other people to us or to our service providers in connection with the Sites, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Policy.
  • Other Information. “Other Information” is any information that does not reveal your specific identity or does not directly relate to an identifiable individual. This might include, for instance, browser and device information; App usage data; information collected through cookies, pixel tags, and other technologies; demographic information and other information provided by you; or aggregated information. We use this information to facilitate our operation of the Sites and for other purposes described below.
  • IP Address: Your “IP Address” is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you access the Sites, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that you visited. Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice and is done automatically by many websites, applications and other services. Fichte & Co uses IP Addresses to calculate usage levels of the Sites, help diagnose problems with its servers, administer the Sites, and monitoring the regions from which you navigate to Fichte & Co’s Sites.

How Does Fichte & Co Collect Information?

Personal Information. We and our service providers may collect Personal Information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Through the Sites: We may collect Personal Information through the Sites, e.g., when you request legal services, register for a webinar, contact us, subscribe to our email newsletter and marketing material, download content (e.g. an article) or apply to be employed or affiliated to us.
  • Automatically: In situations like advertisements and marketing communications (allowing us to track and analyse certain preferences and activity) and when you visit and use the Website. Unless combined with Personal Information, this information does not personally identify you or any other user of the Sites. Note that there is no legal obligation for you to provide us with Personal Information and any information collected by us will be provided by you at your own will and with your consent.
  • Information From Other Sources: In order to enhance our ability to provide relevant marketing, offers, and services to you, we may obtain information about you from other sources, such as public databases.

Other Information. We and our service providers may collect Other Information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Through Your Browser or Device: Certain information is collected by most browsers or automatically through your device, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version, and the name and version of the Sites (such as the Apps) you are using.
  • Through Your Use of the Apps: When you download and use an App, we and our service providers may track and collect App usage data, such as the date and time the App on your device accesses our servers and what information and files have been downloaded to the App based on your device number.
  • Through Cookies and Other Similar Technologies: Cookies and other similar technologies may be used to collect Other Information. We may use third parties to serve advertisements on other websites that may be of interest to you, based on information collected about your use of our Sites and other websites. To do so, these companies may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser (including through the use of pixel tags and web beacons).
  • By Aggregating Information: Aggregated Personal Information does not personally identify you or any other user of the Sites (for example, we may aggregate Personal Information to calculate the percentage of our users who are in a particular area.)

Why Does Fichte & Co Use Personal Information?

We may use Personal Information:

  • To respond to your inquiries and fulfil your requests, such as to send you requested materials and newsletters, as well as information regarding our legal services.
  • To send administrative information to you, for example, information regarding the Sites and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
  • To send you marketing communications and legal updates, such as changes in the legislation of UAE or particular legal cases we took part of or which are important for showcasing the practice of courts and other institutions in UAE.
  • For our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, developing new products, enhancing, improving or modifying our Sites and services, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and operating and expanding our business activities.

How Will Fichte & Co Use the Data It Receives?

Please note that not all data that we collect via our Site is Personal Information. For example, we share non-Personal Information to our service providers for marketing analysis (location of the users, type of inquiry that we have per location and per user group).

In relation to data that qualifies as Personal Information, we may collect:

  • Identification data, for example, name, date of birth, gender, address, contacts, citizen card details, passport, nationality, a company that you represent or own or are affiliated with;
  • Data relating to academic qualifications, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, languages, CV;
  • Professional and work experience data, for example, job title, function, job description, company, office address, previous employer information;
  • Professional activity data, for example, business activities, information relating to processes and files, information relating to due diligence.

When we receive Personal Information, we generally do not disclose it to third parties, except where we are required to do otherwise under Applicable Law. If we are required to treat other data as Personal Information under Applicable Law, then we may use it for all the purposes for which we use and disclose Personal Information.

We store all our data, including Personal Information, in UAE. However, our website is automatically backed up on the cloud servers of our hosting providers, with datacentres that in certain instances may be located outside the UAE. This may result in data (and in limited circumstances Personal Information) being automatically transferred outside the UAE for such backups.

Personal Information collected according to this Policy is stored for the periods mandated by the Applicable Law (in general, 5 years from the time of collection).

How Does Fichte & Co Secure Personal Information About Me?

We have implemented organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization, including security controls to prevent unauthorized access to our systems. While we take reasonable steps to secure your Personal Information from loss, misuse, interference and unauthorized access, modification and disclosure, you should be aware no security procedures or protocols are ever guaranteed to be 100 percent secure from intrusion or hacking, and there is therefore always some risk assumed by sharing Personal Information online. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of your account has been compromised), please immediately notify us.

How Can I Access, Correct, Amend or Remove Information About Me?

If you would like to access, correct, amend, remove or limit the use or disclosure of any Personal Information about you that has been collected and stored by Fichte & Co, please notify us at privacyofficer@fichtelegal.com.

For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Information associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting such access, change or deletion.

Further, you have the following rights, to which we respond without delay, when notified over email at privacyofficer@fichtelegal.com:

  • You may withdraw the consent to this Policy and underlying processes at any time. However, such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of any processing occurring prior to such withdrawal.
  • You may opt-out of receiving marketing messages from Fichte & Co by sending an email to us, stating your request. Please note that if you opt-out of receiving marketing-related emails from us, we may still send you important administrative messages.
  • You may notify us that you wish to be informed on the Personal Information we collect or have about you, whereby we engage to send you such Personal Information online, via a machine readable format.
  • You may notify us with a request to rectify or correct the Personal Information we collect or have about you.
  • You may notify us with a request to delete or stop processing the Personal Information we collect or have about you.
  • You may notify us with a request to process Personal Information only according to specific purposes (for example Personal Information to be used only for sending legal updates and for no other purpose).

Can Children Use Fichte & Co’s Sites?

The Sites are not intended for minors under the age of 21. Fichte & Co does not knowingly or specifically collect information about minors under the age of 21 and believes that children of any age should get their parents’ or legal guardians’ consent before providing any Personal Information. If you believe that we have mistakenly or unintentionally collected such information, please notify us at privacyofficer@fichtelegal.com so that we may delete the information from our servers.

Third Party Sites

The Sites may permit you to link to other websites on the Internet through direct links or through applications such as “share” or “Like” buttons, and other websites likewise may contain links to the Sites. The information practices or content of such other websites is governed by the privacy statements of those websites and not by this Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies found on such other websites, services, and applications to understand how your information may be collected and used.

Similarly, please note that we are not responsible for the collection, use and disclosure policies and practices (including the data security practices) of other organizations, such as Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, RIM, or any other app developer, app provider, social media platform provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider, or device manufacturer, including any Personal Information you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with the Apps or the Social Media Pages.

Sensitive Information

We ask that you not send us or disclose any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background, or trade union membership) on or through the Sites. Such Personal Information is never required via the Sites and therefore we accept no liability for such information provided via the Sites.

How Do We Use and Manage Cookies and Other Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small files placed and stored on the end user’s device (e.g., computer, tablet, mobile phone) when accessing the Sites. We use cookies to enhance user browsing experiences, track website activities, store, and exchange information, facilitate marketing efforts, and optimize website functionality and responsiveness.

Usage of Google AdSense, Google Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Google Analytics and similar technologies offered by Google Inc. provide website traffic statistics, traffic source analysis, and conversion tracking. These technologies utilize cookies, and their operations are solely determined and controlled by Google Inc. The processing of personal data obtained through these technologies is subject to Google Inc.’s regulatory requirements and not in our control.

If Fichte & Co uses such technologies, the purpose would be to enhance Sites integration, optimize web pages, measure website traffic, improve services and products, and enhance sales. By accessing the Site or our branded pages, you consent to the data processing requirements as per this Policy and of third party providers such as Google Inc. etc.

Fichte & Co may amend this Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Policy will become effective when we post the revised Policy on the Sites. Your use of the Sites following these changes means that you accept the revised Policy.
